(RFIDWorld.ca) The Herrick District Library, which is situated in Holland, Michigan, will be utilizing 3M RFID technology to manage nearly 1.2 million items per year.
Newly installed self-checkout kiosks will be supported by the 3M RFID technology, which in turn will provide the Herrick District with increased security to its 245,000 circulating items.
Thirty miles away, the Muskegon Area District Library has also chosen 3M RFID technology to support its 116,000 patrons. The two libraries combined are using over 400,000 RFID tags to support the circulation of its items yearly.
Similar to the Herrick District Library, the Muskegon District Library will utilize 3M’s integrated staff work stations that integrate directly into their library management system.
