A recent undated file picture released by the city of Dendermonde shows the inside of the premises of the childcare centre where two adults and three children were killed in a knife attack on January 23, 2009. Twenty children may have also been injured by the man armed with a knife near the town of Dendermonde, northwest of the Belgian capital, according to the website of the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws. The man fled after the attack, VTM reported and the Belga news agency said that neither police nor prosecutors would comment on the matter.
